There are two scooters being awarded:
|
One scooter, pictured above, is a Razor E100 electric-powered scooter
for ages 8 to adult. The actual scooter is just as pictured above
(blue with red trim and brushed aluminum plate, etc.). Speed: 9+ miles per hour. Running time on a single charge: as long as 30-40
minutes, depending on terrain, weight of rider, etc. |
|
The other scooter is the classic Razor MS-130 kick scooter (non electric-powered)
with wheelie bar.
Cruise around the neighborhood on this original, authentic, folding
aluminum kick scooter. And when you're done tooling around, it's easy
to fold and carry. |
Here's the skinny on Scooter Points:
Every time you show up for church on Sunday
morning (Sunday School) at 10 AM from now until May 30, you get 10 Scooter Points.
If you invite someone, and they attend
Sunday School with you, you get more points:
|
If they have never attended here at CAC before, you get 50 Scooter Points.
|
|
If they have attended at CAC before, but not since the start of this year, you
get 30 Scooter Points.
|
|
If they have attended at CAC before, and it has been since the start of this
year, you get 20 Scooter Points.
|
|
If they attend again during the contest, they always add the same amount of
points they did as before. i.e. A 50-pointer is always worth 50 points for the
entire contest. A 30-pointer is always worth 30 points for the entire contest. A
20-pointer is always worth 20 points for the entire contest.

More details on points and on the contest:
|
You must personally invite the guest (or guests) to get the points. The
invitations can be by phone, fax, email, in person, or however you wish... but
you must be the one who invited them!
|
|
If you invite a family, and several from that family attend with you, you'll get
points for each family member who shows up for you.
|
|
The guest(s) will be asked to fill out a card, and there on the card is a
question that says, "I was invited by ___________________" The guest(s) must put
your name down (someone will help the small children who are unable to write).
|
|
The electric-powered scooter can be won by anyone of any age all the way up to
our Teen Class. The electric-powered scooter is advertised as being for ages 8
to adult, but we'll award it to the winner and let the parent(s) of the winner
decide if the winner is old enough to ride it, or if they must wait. If
supervision is ever deemed necessary by the parent(s) of the winner, the
parent(s) bear(s) full responsibility for providing the supervision.
|
|
The kick-powered scooter can be won by anyone of any age all the way up to our
Teen Class. The kick-powered scooter may be used by young children, but if so it
should be ONLY with adult supervision. The parent(s) of the winner decide if the
winner is old enough to ride it, or if they must wait! If supervision is ever
deemed necessary by the parent(s) of the winner, the parent(s) bear(s) full
responsibility for providing the supervision.
|
|
Always ride with a helmet. Helmets are available very affordably from
places like Wal-Mart and K-Mart.
|
|
All participation in this contest indicates agreement with these rules and
regulations and signifies the participant having waived all rights to sue
Christian Apostolic Church, Inc. for any damages or injuries incurred through
riding the scooters.
|
|
The winners and their parents and families agree to indemnify and hold Christian
Apostolic Church, Inc. guiltless regarding any problem arising from use of the scooters.
|
|
In the case of a tie for first place, all the "first place" names will be drawn
from a hat. The first name drawn will be awarded the first-place prize. The
second name drawn
will be awarded the second-place prize, and so on. If there is a three-way tie,
the three 1st place winners will be awarded the three prizes (electric scooter,
regular scooter, and telescope,
one to each, per the drawing of names), and no other prizes will be awarded. If
there is a four-way tie for first place, an additional prize will be bought. If
there is a five-way tie (or higher)
for first place,
additional prizes may be bought.
