Doctrine:

Doctrine simply means teaching. There can be good (true) doctrine and bad (false) doctrine. In the Bible, false doctrine is vehemently opposed. Various groups often teach many different, often contradictory, doctrines on various biblical issues. The Scriptures are the ultimate authority to measure whether any doctrine is true.
